Magnify with Justin Begley is a podcast dedicated to sharing the gospel of Jesus Christ in the cultural context in which we live today. Through this podcast, Justin uses apologetics, theological truths, and scripture to equip believers to share the gospel with an unbelieving world and to present a reasonable defense for the Christian faith to those who do not believe. In this effort, our prayer is that we would magnify Christ through evangelism, proclaiming His gospel in grace and truth.

Contend for the Faith
Friday Oct 15, 2021
Friday Oct 15, 2021
Many have described the culture of America to be both post-Christian and post-truth. Naturally, this creates a hostile environment to any worldview that asserts an exclusive claim to truth as well as to Christians who believe in and support traditional Biblical values. How, then, should Christians live in the midst of this culture and how should we respond? In this episode, we walk through the book of Jude to get some Biblical insight as to what it means to contend for the faith.

Monday Sep 27, 2021
There is a rapidly growing religion in American that is confronting the beliefs and doctrines of Christianity: the religion of Wokeism. This religion is becoming increasingly pervasive in our culture and if Christians are to adequately defend the truth of the Christian faith in the face of this new worldview, we need to understand its roots. In this episode, we take a look at the core tenets of Wokeism, its philosophical (and spiritual) roots, and discuss ways that we can minister to its followers.

Thursday Sep 02, 2021
Thursday Sep 02, 2021
Why does God allow evil and suffering to occur? When we look around the world, it seems like there is so much violence, hate, division, sickness, hunger, oppression, exploitation, and all other kinds of evil. Would a good God really allow such evil to occur? Is evil incompatible with the existence of such a good God? In this episode, we explore these questions of the problem of evil. Grounding our discussion in John 11, we also discuss how Christians ought to respond to the existence of evil and suffering.

Tuesday Aug 24, 2021
Have you ever had a longing that has never yet been quite fulfilled? Do you ever ponder the question of whether there is life after death? The question of our destiny (where we are heading) is one of life's most important questions. A certainty of life is that all of us will eventually die. But is that it? When we die, is that simply the end of our existence? In this episode, we discuss the Christian doctrine of the last things, the Bible's answers regarding life after death, and an apologetic argument that points to the truth of the Christian worldview in this area compared to other worldviews.

We also provide a brief introduction to the problem of evil and how the Christian alone is able to deal with that common challenge.

Have you ever doubted the existence of God as the Creator of the world? Have you been led to believe that science has disproved the existence of God and that the Christian faith stands in contradiction to science? The Biblical Mandate for Apologetics
Friday Nov 13, 2020
Friday Nov 13, 2020
Every believer knows of the Great Commission that Jesus gives in Matthew 28. Christians are mobilized by the Holy Spirit to go and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit. This is God's command to evangelize. But how many Christians are aware of the biblical mandate to give a defense for the Christian faith? In other words, how many of us know of the biblical mandate for apologetics? What exactly is apologetics and how do we effectively use it to share the hope that we have in Christ with unbelievers? We talk about all of this on this episode of Magnify.

"The Truth"
Monday Oct 26, 2020
Monday Oct 26, 2020
Every worldview makes claims to truth. But how do we know if a worldview is actually true? In this episode, we explore Christianity's exclusive claim to truth personified in the person of Jesus Christ.
As Christians, we have a Biblical mandate in 1 Peter 3:15 to always be prepare to give a reason for the hope that we have. Therefore, it is critical that we understand how to assess truth claims, how the Christian worldview defines truth, and how to provide a defense for the truth. This is the aim of apologetics.
